Background:
We are supporting a major automotive manufacturer in the delivery of advanced powertrain development activities. As part of a dedicated engineering service setup, we are building a specialised team to support vehicle driveability calibration and validation activities within a long-term engineering framework.
Activities:
- Perform calibration of powertrain driveability functions related to engine and transmission systems.
- Support subjective driveability evaluation activities in line with defined customer methodologies.
- Contribute to validation activities under diverse and extreme driving conditions, including dedicated test campaigns.
- Prepare technical documentation and calibration reports in accordance with customer standards.
- Provide regular status updates aligned with agreed service cadence.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external technical partners within the customer’s development environment.
Experience:
- Hands-on experience in engine and transmission calibration activities.
- Strong background in subjective vehicle evaluation and drivability assessment.
- Ability to analyse issues, propose solutions, and support validation.
- Experience working within structured OEM development processes.
- Availability and willingness to participate in driving activities across different regions and proving grounds.
Academic background:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
Additional skills:
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Clear technical communication and structured reporting skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an on-site, integrated team environment.
- Flexibility to operate within a service framework subject to periodic scope reviews.
